Major Evelyn Ministers to Hearts and Souls in Haiti

Western Territory officer Major Evelyn Chavez is serving as a hospital chaplain in Haiti. In her first week there, she's stayed busy supporting the work of The Salvation Army medical teams.

So far, she's helped transport critical patients to hospital, prayed with distraught family members, and brought smiles to the faces of local children.

Give a Day, Get a Disney Day!

Disney Parks has recently begun promoting their 'Give a Day. Get a Disney Day.' volunteer campaign with the goal of inspiring one million people to volunteer a day of service to a participating organization in their communities. The program runs from January 1 through December 15, 2010.
