The R.J. Montgomery Center is Colorado Springs only 24/7 homeless shelter.  The Center has a Child Development Center that offers education, individualized care and a chance for kids to be kids in a safe, clean environment. The Center also provides a homeless healthcare clinic.

Family Services provides assistance to people experiencing life crises.Services may include emergency food and utility assistance, housing and counseling. Requests are met on a case by case basis. Family Services fills over 36,000 such needs each year including 7,500 emergency meals to senior citizens, homeless and others in our community. We offer programs for families, single men and women and recovering men.

The Red Shield After School Program provides an after-school program and summer camp for at-risk youth.The newly restructutured program provides transportation from many D11 schools to The Salvation Army. Children receive a snack before homework, then with the assistance and supervision of our qualified staff and trained volunteers they complete their studies and engage in meaningful recreational activities teaching them social, developmental and life skillsam

The Salvation Army Corps (Church)
There are two local Salvation Army Corps churches in El Paso County, located in Colorado Springs and Fountain Valley.  Our beliefs are based upon the Bible, and correspond to other mainstream denominations. We believe that God loves us; that because of Jesus we can have a relationship with God; that friendship with God is the source of all help, hope and peace.
