We're One of Your Neighbors!
When The Salvation Army comes to town, we become a part of the community. We join your Rotary or Kiwanis Club and get to know you. We shop at the farmers' market, watch the high school football game, and stop by the corner coffee shop for a cup of joe on the way to work.
And, just to let you know how serious we are about becoming one of you, we buy a home in your neighborhood for our pastors - called officers - and their families to live in. We want you to know that we're here to stay.

Help Make a Million Meals For Haiti
Do you live in or near Los Angeles? Do you know 11 people – perhaps from your office, Rotary Club, Bible study, etc. – you can invite to pack meals that will feed earthquake survivors in Haiti?
If you can answer yes to both of those questions, please mark your calendar for Friday, March 12 or Saturday, March 13, and start recruiting your team!
On March 12th and 13th, 2,000 Salvation Army volunteers will pack and ship 1 million meals in 24 hours to help curb hunger in Haiti on the two-month anniversary of the devastating earthquake.
