Children & youth services
The Salvation Army is answering the needs of youth in Alaska.
Camping programs allow youth to escape to the mountains and glens of secluded camp life. Several retreats are operated throughout the winter. Youth centers and clubs provide recreation, education, and support service for children and youth. Parenting and childbirth education helps parents address the questions they have regarding children in a caring, educational environment. Religious teaching takes place during Sunday School programs and mid-week Bible Study activities. Emergency Care gives children a safe place to stay when they have been removed from their home.Treatment programs for young women work to help them make healthy choices.
