Advocacy

Serendipity supports advocating for seniors at the local, state and national levels. Serendipity is proud to be a member of CAN - the Caregiver Advocacy Network. In coordination with AGENET, the Alaska Geriatric Exchange Network, Serendipity participates in the annual Senior Legislative Fly-In. During last year's Fly-In, Serendipity sponsored four individuals to fly to Juneau and speak with the legislature regarding senior issues.

2007 Senior Legislative Fly-In Priorties

  • Keep the Elders at Home Initiative
  • Flexible Long Term Care Support
  • ADRD/TBI on Choice Waiver
  • Mental Health for Seniors
