Don't miss out on this one-of-a-kind recycling extravaganza! Online ticket sales are closed, but we do have tickets available for sale at the door (or call to purchase today at 276-2515).
Transformed Treasures is the genius of a longtime friend of The Salvation Army as a way to help increas sales at Anchorage area Salvation Army Family Stores. Silk neckties, dishes, sweaters, jewelry, furniture and other assorted donations find new life thanks to local artists who masterfully transform these items into one-of-a-kind treasures. The "transformed treasures" are auctioned and raise funds to support local Salvation Army programs. New features at the event this year include an artisit's challenge, featuring wedding dresses and wooden chairs. Come see how they're transformed and vote for your favorite! A wearable arts mini-fashion show will feature unique clothing, all for sale too.
Not only does the event promote responsible recycling, it provides a great opportunity to share the ministry of The Salvation Army, where everyday lives are transformed through programs including McKinnell House Family Shelter, Serendipity Adult Day Services, Clitheroe Center and Kings Lake Camp.
