| This fall, the Oregon History Museum celebrates 125 years of the Salvation Army in Portland. This exhibit will explore the birth of the organization in Great Britain, how the Army |
| was established in Portland and explain the many symbols and characters that have defined the Army in the Rose City. Original uniforms, instruments and historic images will help tell the story of one of the longest-running charitable organizations in Oregon. |

JUNIOR LEAGUE OF PORTLAND INSPIRES YOUNG MOTHERS AT WHITE SHIELD
There is so much running through a new mother's mind, how much formula and food to give her baby, when to start potty training, when she will be able to fit in some sleep. Every mother hopes to start her child's life out right, encouraging and supporting them from birth to be loving, caring and successful individuals. |
In an outreach project through the Junior League of Portland, the girls at The Salvation Army White Shield Center will hopefully start their babies reading from birth.
