Charitable Check-off

Your Tax Refund at Work ... Helping People in Need

Are you expecting a State Income Tax refund this year? Do you want to use it (or a portion of it) to support a good cause? If so, why not consider giving to The Salvation Army through the Oregon Charitable Checkoff? It's easier than you think!

What is the Charitable Checkoff?
Oregon's Charitable Checkoff gives taxpayers the opportunity to donate a portion of their tax refund to a participating charity of their choice — simply by filling out a small section on their Income Tax Return. For more information and step-by-step instructions, click here.

How do I participate?

  • Locate Form 40 of your income taxes.
  • Find the designated line for The Salvation Army — #63.
  • Enter the amount you'd like to donate!

Where will my money go?
Your generous gift will help less fortunate children in Oregon receive the support and encouragement they desperately need. Boys and girls from low-income families will experience character-building programs in the safe environment of Salvation Army Camp.
