A Message From the Corps Officers
If you give a few hours a week you can make a difference in the lives of impoverished families in Jackson County. Volunteers are the key to our success. Please consider donating your time to help those in need. The Salvation Army is in desperate need of volunteers to assist with the following:
Confidence Building Mentor & Tutor (CMT Provider) - (Main Office)
The CMT Provider will be donating time in the After-School Program. THe CMT Provider helps students with computer skills and homework. There is also free time to do creative projects or play games or have some fun outside. The CMT Provider is a volunteer with Kid's Space, The Salvation Army's After School Program.
Food Pantry Ambassador (Social Services)
A Food Pantry Ambassador can help with food distribution: bringing donated food boxes into warehouse and building food boxes. A volunteer helping in this area will need to be able to lift 25 lbs and possibly more. The other opportunity as Food Pantry Ambassador is to answer phones and direct callers to the right service agency.
Warehouse Donations Specialist (Medford Thrift Store)
A Warehouse Donations Specialist will sort and organize a specific department in the Warehouse. The Warehouse consists of electronics (a great spot for gadget fixers), books, jewlery, clothes and home decor.
Department Specialty Consultant (Thrift Stores: Medford, White City, Phoenix)
Department Specialty Consultants assist customers and keep a specific department neat and in order.
If interested in volunteering for any of the above opportunties please contact the following:
