Members of The Hope Brigade, a special group of individuals who, by their actions, bring hope and a future to others through The Salvation Army, were honored at the Oakland Garden Street Corps Donor and Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon.
Divisional Commander Major Douglas F. Riley delivered a message of heartfelt gratitude to volunteers and donors present, illustrating with words the many ways lives have been changed due to their generous donations of financial support and time.

Gift Planning Director Reba Perkins presented Certificates of Appreciation to each attending Hope Brigade Member.
After enjoying a meal together, luncheon guests were invited to tour the Family Emergency Shelter and Booth Memorial Child Day Care Center, located at 2794 Garden Street in Oakland, to see firsthand, and to learn more about, how their donations are helping individuals in need.
Alameda County Coordinator Major C. Patrick Granat, Associate Alameda County Coordinator Captain Kitty Granat and Oakland Program Director Captain Patricia Poochigian hosted the event.
