Volunteer Opportunities

The Salvation Army is looking for volunteers to help with our busy holiday season.  We need help with our food drives and putting together and distributing Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets.  We are taking applications now at 2691 Larkspur Ln or call (530) 222-2207 ext 18

Bell ringing is fast approaching.  If you or your organization would like to bell ring please contact our office (530)222-2207 ext 18/19 or come down to our office and fill out a application.

Angel Tree & Food Baskets

Applications will be taken from November 2 to December 1 or until all spaces are filled.  This year the Salvation Army will only be for families with children 17 and under.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday

10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Tuesday and Thursday

1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

**Tuesday Evening**

November 10, 17, 24

5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Saturday

10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Monthly Services

In the month of August and September our Redding Salvation Army helped 102 children grades K-12 with School Clothes.

for the month October we assisted 1,609 people with food, clothes and other services totally 16,014.

Did You Know.....

The Red Christmas Kettle debuted in San Francisco in 1891 in the guise of crab pots.  A depression has thrown many out of work including hundreds of seamen and longshoremen.  they put a crab pot out on the streets asking people to give what they can.  The campaign proved to be so successful that by.
