Thanks to the generosity of the Reno/Sparks community approximately 2,880 families received toys for all their children and teens as well as a frozen turkey for their holiday meal from the Christmas Center on South Virginia. Additionally, at least another 600 households (including Seniors and hospitalized Veterans) were helped with non-perishable food and gifts from our Sutro office.
We'd like to thank our Toy Shop partner, the Marine Corps Toys for Tots progam, as well as the local businesses and churches who sponsored a Salvation Army Angel Tree. Without this support, none of this would have been possible.
Approximately 375 were served Christmas Dinner presented by Harrah's on Christmas Day. Thank you so much to the crew at Harrah's for a great meal!
Thank you so much to Americom Broadcasting and the Dolan Automotive Group Car Dealerships, in partnership with PODS in sponsoring "Camp Christmas", a successful Toy collection to benefit Toys For Tots and The Salvation Army Angel Tree program that brought in 667 new toys for distribution to registered families the week before Christmas.
Thank you so much to the Nevada Army National Guard, News Talk 780 KOH Radio and
the Atlantis Casino Resort for a successful 15th Annual "Operation Turkey Drop". The frozen turkeys will be distributed to registered families the week before Christmas.
