The Salvation Army Responds to Multiple Locations in Oklahoma Affected by Tornadoes

Several Salvation Army Emergency Response teams are actively responding to three areas of Oklahoma struck by tornadoes and strong thunderstorms on May 19. The teams, based in Oklahoma and Arkansas, have deployed mobile feeding units and volunteers to assist both tornado survivors and first responders.

Salvation Army set to open dental clinic in Modesto

The Salvation Army hopes to open its dental clinic at its Berberian Homeless Shelter and Transitional Living Center by mid-June. The clinic will provide teeth extractions, fillings, exams and other basics for clients at the army's homeless shelter and two transitional living programs.

On the 127th anniversary of the "Great Quake of '06" we remember those who put the welfare of others first in the aftermath of this historic disaster.

Salvation Army Responds to Large Explosion at Chemical Plant in Texas

The Salvation Army is responding after a large explosion at a fertilizer plant devastated the small city of West, TX, just before 8:00 PM (CDT) Wednesday evening. The Salvation Army quickly mobilized support teams and by midnight had deployed five Emergency Disaster Canteens (mobile kitchens) to the area.
