The Salvation Army's programs and services are greatly enhanced by the millions of individuals who volunteer their time and talents each year.
Volunteers come from all walks of life and support the Army in virtually all of its activities. They serve as members of auxiliary groups and advisory organizations, bell ringers, kitchen and clerical workers, and in special functions when disasters strike. Their contribution of time and commitment are essential to the success of the organization.
Tens of thousands of people volunteer to help The Salvation Army - Golden State Division each year. Volunteer participation not only occurs during the holidays, it happens year-round, as tutors for after-school programs, teachers for classes, visitors to homebound seniors, and more. The opportunities are limitless.
Bilingual volunteers are always needed, especially those fluent in Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Laotian, Hmong, Russian or Spanish.
As a volunteer, take home valuable memories of those served and enjoy the impact on other's lives.
If you are interested in volunteering for The Salvation Army - Golden State Division, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator in your area.
