Harbor House is a state licensed substance abuse transitional housing program for single parent, homeless families seeking self-reliance. We give a supportive environment that encourages self-esteem and independence through education and other job skill enhancements, and individual and family counseling. We have a committed staff that encourage and assist residents and their family to prepare residents for self-supporting environment when they leave Harbor House, and our goal is to see them settled in permanent housing. We have a good support network of voluntary professional giving valuable assistance to the residents in areas such as financial planning, parenting, life skills, anger management, working with others and developing skills to work independently. Residents are encouraged to organize and participated in social activities through their stay.
Residents have their own unit that consists of one room plus en suite bathroom, and shared lounge/dining and kitchen facilities.
