adult rehabilitation
The Adult Rehabilitation Center located in Long Beach is a Regional Center serving Southern Los Angeles County and a small portion of Orange County. This is a spiritually motivated program making men aware of the change that can happen in their lives with a commitment to Christ. The men in the program participate in chapel services, group meetings, AA and NA meetings, educational and social skills classes, plus work therapy.
The center opened in 1923 and houses disaffiliated men over the age of 18, most of whom have drug, alcohol or other social problems. Graduates of the program have completed six months in the program. The center is supported from the donation of goods and sells these in 11 area thrift stores.
