You are in: Our Community
Since its humble beginnings in the London East Side back in 1865, when our founder William Booth saw the great human need around him, The Salvation Army has been involved in the social issues affecting those who are down and out and unable to provide for themselves. Throughout this experience is that part of The Salvation Army's mission was developed and that is to help suffering humanity without any discrimination.
Here in Pomona we try every day to live up to this mission and as we extend our hearts to God we reach out to our neighbors in need. With the help of our communities we accomplish these tasks. With support of faithful donors we can pay for it. And with the guidance of our Advisory Board we successfully coordinate our efforts to reach as many as are in need as we are able; indeed doing the most good with the contributions of time, talents and treasures that we receive from our friends.
We encourage you to surf our website and learn more about how you can help and what you can do to ensure that those who are hungry get some food to eat. So that those who do not have a friend can receive the fellowship they need within our doors and those who are in need can come to a place where regardless of color, race or creed will be treated with dignity and will receive as much help as we are able to provide. Will you help? Find out more today.
