You are in: Our Christian Fellowship
One often finds their destiny on the road they take to avoid it. So face your fears and concerns head on while prepared before they find you unexpected.
Well if you clicked this link you must want to know what we believe.
Before you go any further ask yourself why you really want to know what we believe. If you already are a Christian who knows salvation comes from Jesus Christ alone and you hold the Bible in the highest regard and consider it the infallible word of God, you will find we are very much alike. If you are not a Christian then you may be in shock to have found out we are indeed a church.
We do what we do because of our relationship with our risen savior Jesus Christ. We are a Christian Church of committed believers who take our belief in Jesus seriously. We seek to help our fellow man because that is what we believe Jesus would have us do. We believe we are called to take hope, love, joy, peace, happiness, joy, and salvation to the people of the world who have been cast aside and ignored. We never hold our help out like a carrot expecting or requiring a person to become a Christian before we will help them. We do not believe that is what Jesus did or would do. It is the work of the Holy Spirit that causes a man to desire to change. It is the work of the Holy Spirit that causes a man to want to seek Jesus. What we do offer is a Holy Spirit powered living example of Christ's love for mankind.
I have heard it said by many Christians that everyone is born with a God shaped hole in their heart. They try to fill it with relationships, money, power, things, power, drugs, alcohol, religions of no accountability, and many other things. Yet the hole is never quite filled. We are never really satisfied with what we try to fill our lives with.
Yet there is one thing that will radically change your life. There is one thing that will change your whole perspective on your place in this world. There is one thing that will truly fill that God shaped hole in your life. It is Jesus.
The links provided here will tell you what we believe and how a person can be become a Christian. If you want to know more please come to our church and ask for the Captain Moy Hernandez, Jr., or Captain Erika Hernandez our church pastors. If you want to become a Christian or rededicate yourself to Jesus read on. Then come see us.
Do you want that God shaped hole in your life filled? If yes read on my friend.
Great decision! There are four Steps a person must take to receive Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. While you could read what is written below and go through the steps to receive Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, it would be far better for you to come by or call me so I can help you understand what you are really about to do. Saying the sinner's prayer is the easy part. Living up to your part of the agreement is the hard part and you will need help encouragement, life accountability, and patience.
1. Admit
Sin is a fact of everyday life. You were born into it.
Psalm 58:3 (NIV)
Even from birth the wicked go astray; from the womb they are wayward and speak lies.
You can't escape it on your own. Even that kid in school who you thought was perfect and always did the right thing is still a sinner.
God says in Romans 3:23 (NIV) all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God All, means everybody, including you and me.
The bad news is that sin has a penalty that must be paid. Just like if you are caught speeding you must pay the penalty. Except sin carries with it the death sentence no matter what the sin was. God's word tells us:
Romans 6:23 (NIV)
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Even though sin carries the death penalty this verse tells us there is a way to escape the judgment through Jesus.
Sin will always leave you feeling unfulfilled and empty. We are, by our nature, separated from God. You will never be good enough to get into heaven. Nor will you ever have true peace and love in your life apart from having a right relationship with God.
2. Repent
Your only hope is in repentance to God. Admitting you're a sinner and agreeing to turn from your sins. To repent is to admit to Jesus that you have sinned and to ask Jesus to forgive your sins in prayer. Prayer is just talking to God. He knows your heart so just pray away. Read the following scriptures below first.
Ezekiel 18:30-32 (NIV)
30 Therefore, O house of Israel, I will judge you, each one according to his ways, declares the Sovereign LORD . Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall. 31 Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, O house of Israel? 32 For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign LORD . Repent and live!
Acts 17:30-31 (NIV)
30 In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. 31 For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead.
2 Corinthians 7:10 (NIV)
10 Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.
Revelation 21:27 (NIV)
27 Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.
3. Believe
Your penalty for your sin has been paid in full. Jesus has gone before you and presented His life as an offering for your sin. But, you must believe in Jesus. That means believing that He has, by his suffering and death on the cross, paid the penalty for your sins. Also, that He has risen from the dead and so you, too, will someday rise from the dead to be judged and then to live in heaven. He has offered the gift of Salvation and you must believe you have received it.
John 3:16 (NIV)
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
You've come to "receive" because a gift is being given. The gift only becomes valid when the person its intended for receives it.
Romans 10:9 (NIV)
9 That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
4. Receive
Confess Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life. And receive the Holy Spirit.
John 1:12 (NIV)
12 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God
Romans 10:9 (NIV)
9 That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
He is the Savior (come to seek and save the lost). That He rose from the dead proves that He is everything that He said. When we are saved, our name is registered in Heaven.
Luke 10:20 (NIV)
20 However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.
God will accept and forgive anyone who comes to Him.
John 1:12 (NIV)
12 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God
John 6:37 (NIV)
37 All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away.
Revelation 3:20 (NIV)
20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.
Would you like to receive Jesus in your heart? Then speak this prayer aloud.
THE SINNER'S PRAYER
Dear God, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey you, and to do your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

Philippians 1:6 (NIV)
6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Luke 24:45-47 (NIV)
45 Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. 46 He told them, This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, 47 and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
