Introduction to Emergency Disaster Services (4 hours)
National Disaster Training Program (NDTP)

This course is designed for new disaster workers who have limited disaster experience and who have just begun their association with The Salvation Army's emergency disaster services program. The course provides participants with an overview of The Salvation Army's mission and its role within disaster work. Participants will also be taught how to prepare and equip themselves for a disaster deployment.

The Salvation Army is pleased to invite you to attend our MEDIC First Aid training courses. Come and get certified without paying a hefty course fee! ($20.00) Space is limited - please contact us to reserve a seat.

MEDIC First Aid BasicPlus (4-5 hours)
First Aid, CPR, and AED for Adults

MEDIC FIRST AID BasicPlus is an adult CPR, AED, and First Aid Training program. BasicPlus includes training in the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), a vital component for any sudden cardiac arrest emergency. This program will help emplyers meet OSHA and other federal and state regulatory requirements for training employees in responding to and caring for medical emergencies at work. Please RSVP to reserve a seat - space is limited.

Supplemental Session (4 hours)
Oxygen First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, Child/Infant CPR and AED

*you must have current certification in adult CPR/AED

Oxygen First Aid for Emergencies Supplement is designed to give students the knowledge and skills neccessary to provide emergency oxygen to a suddenly ill or injured patient until more advanced medical help arrives.

Bloodborne Pathogens is designed to provide students with the essential knowledge neccessary to help reduce or eliminate the occupational risk of bloodborne pathogens.

Child/Infant CPR and AED Supplement is designed to give students who have already compleed CPR and AED training for adults the knowledge and skills neccessary to manage a cardiac arrest emergency for children less than 8 years old. It provides information on performing child and infant CPR and using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) on a child.
