Fifteen new, dedicated community volunteers were introduced as the 2009 Women of Dedication during a November 6 Presentation Tea in La Jolla.

These women,  who help make San Diego a wonderful place to live, will be formally honored on March 10th, 2009 at the 44th Annual Women of Dedication Luncheon to be held in the fabulous, new Hilton Bayfront Hotel next to the Convention Center.  This year's luncheon, "The Power of Purses" is being chaired by Karen Miller.  This signature event is the Auxiliary's chance to thank the women who, through many different organizations,  work to improve the lives of others.  All proceeds benefit local programs of The Salvation Army, including the Door of Hope Restoration Project.  Tickets are $85; tables of ten are available for $850.

To purchase seats or for more information, please contact Val Sachs at 619-446-0273 or val.sachs@usw.salvationarmy.org

About Women of Dedication

Now in its 44th year, Women of Dedication is one of San Diego's longest-running charity events.  Each spring, The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary hosts a lavish luncheon where 15 of the community's most dedicated volunteers are honored and thanked for their gifts of time, talent and spirit.  The Auxiliary's largest fundraiser, all proceeds from the luncheon stay in San Diego and benefit social service programs of The Salvation Army.  For more information on The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary or Women of Dedication, please contact Val Sachs at 619-446-0273 or val.sachs@usw.salvationarmy.org.
