| To celebrate National Salvation Army Week, NBC 7/39 and The Salvation Army gave away TEN brand new bikes, helmets and locks to deserving children whose parents would find it difficult to purchase a bike. Schools nominate the children. The bikes are purchased through generous donations to the Bikes for Kids program. NBC Weatherman Whitney Southwick presented the bikes, and talked to the children about bike safety and The Golden Rule. Below are the recipients. |
