Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster

A VOAD is an coordinating body for non-profit voluntary and community- or faith-based organizations that perform relief functions in the event of a disaster.
VOAD encourages collaboration of voluntary organizations to maximize their impact during a disaster and avoid duplication of services.
VOAD member organizations provide services in various stages of a disaster including mitigation, preparedness, response, relief, and recovery.

Download and complete all of the forms listed below, make check out to The Salvation Army for VOAD dues, ($25 for an organization, $10 for an individual). Send all forms and check to:

◊ Online Preparedness & Safety Training
Online disaster preparedness and safety training is available free for SDVOAD members through The Salvation Army. First, contact Pamela Lennen for member verification and to get a username and password. Then, to log in and begin the training, go to this website: http://sa.trainingweb.com/west/admin/syslogin.asp.
