Junior Soldiers provides an opportunity for children who have made a commitment to Christ, inviting him into their lives as a personal savior, to learn about and become a member of The Salvation Army. Through study, children learn about God's love and forgiveness and how The Salvation Army is committed to upholding Biblical principles.
The Junior Soldier program is available to boys and girls between the ages of 7-14. A young person can become a junior soldier with parental consent, providing that he/she is not a member of another church. Each Junior Soldier course covers a six week period, and at the end of the course each child has the option of becoming a Junior Soldier, and a member of The Salvation Army. Each Salvation Army Corps holds a weekly Junior Soldier meeting.
