Mobile Learning Center
A symbol of The Salvation Army's presence in South Los Angeles for over half a decade, the SLACWS's Mobile Learning Center visits area schools and offers on-site computer classes to local students. A state-of-the-art classroom, the Mobile Learning Center houses seven computers for kids to enjoy as well as learn basic computer skills. In addition, a SLACWS Computer Specialist is on-hand at all times to teach and supervise students utilizing the Mobile Learning Center's resources.
Students are invited to spend after-school hours inside the Mobile Learning Center in an environment fostering both education and entertainment. Currently visiting Bethune Middle School several times a week, the Mobile Learning Center has aslo served 75th St., Holmes and Russell elementary schools.
