Christmas Angel Program
The Salvation Army, along with Arizona's Family 3TV, offers new clothing and toys to children through the Christmas Angel Program. Without this program, many of these children would wake up on Christmas morning with little or nothing under the tree. During the 2008 holiday season, The Salvation Army and 3TV were able to touch the lives of 10,703 families, bringing Christmas joy and love to those who need it most. Nearly 49,000 children received gifts as a result of the Christmas Angel Program.
Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinner
Each year, The Salvation Army spreads holiday spirit to those less privileged in our community through our Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. In 2008, our holiday meal program served warm food and provided live entertainment to 6,210 individuals. The Salvation Army also delivered 3,069 holiday home delivered meals.
