The Salvation Army in Tacoma introduces Majors' Warren Dabis and Dixie Dabis as the new commanding officers. They are seasoned officers of The Salvation Army with over 33 years of experience including: a capitol campaign in Pendleton, OR; purchase of facilities in Albany, OR; major renovation of facilities in San Diego; and corps administration and programming. Major Warren is extremely involved in the Salvation Army Western Territory music programs as a member of the Territorial Band and an instructor at the Western Music Institute.
Major Warren and Major Dixie have served in SA Corps assignments throughout the USA West in Boise, ID; Albany, OR; Pendleton OR; Lihue, HI; Ft. Collins, CO; Phoenix, AZ; Honolulu, HI; Sacramento, CA; and most recently in San Diego, California.
They bring a wealth of experiences and knowledge to the Pierce County area. Major Warren received his formal education at the University of Hawaii, University of Phoenix and William Jessup University. They both graduated from the Salvation Army's Crestmont College.
Major Warren's first experience with The Salvation Army was in Honolulu, HI where he attended a SA Music camp. Major Dixie has been involved in TSA since her childhood. The Dabis' have two adult children and three grandchildren.
