You are in: Get Involved » Volunteer
You have the opportunity to change lives by volunteering with The Salvation Army. We offer a lot of opportunities at all of our facilities to volunteer throughout Multnomah, Washington and Clackamas County, from clerical duties to cleaning up a shelter to mentoring a youth or even helping at events.
If this sounds like something you would like to do, Amy Bogdon, the volunteer coordinator, wants to talk to you! Give her a call at 503.794.3246 or e-mail amy.bogdon@usw.salvationarmy.org. Also, bookmark this page and check back for upcoming opportunities.

Volunteer Liaison - We are also actively recruiting to fill the position of Volunteer Liaison for every Corps and Program in the Metro area. The role of the Liaison will be to help assess volunteer needs within the Program/Corps, by being "eyes and ears" for the organization. The Liaison will work closely with the officer/director of the specific program/corps, assist where needed within the specific program/Corps, and report "volunteer based" needs to the Portland Metro Volunteer Coordinator (Rhona Brant) at Monthly Volunteer Liaison meetings. This is a 9 month to 1 year volunteer commitment, at approximately 2 - 4 hours per week. If you are someone looking to really make a deep impact in your community, perhaps you should consider one of these positions.
