Since 1887, Family Services has been providing help with the most basic needs of families and individuals living in Ada and Canyon Counties.

Today's families face so many challenges.  Whether the crisis is the sudden loss of a home, the termination of employment or other financial emergency, The Salvation Army is prepared to help families in need and is committed to keeping families strong—365 days a year.

Over the last several decades, our services have expanded to include creating and providing programs that help people transition from crisis to safety and stability. The Salvation Army is recognized around the world as experts in social service design and delivery. In 2011, more than 20,000 Ada County families were assisted through Family Services.
